Some Funeral Homes have embraced the memorial videos. We include Memorial Videos in all but one of our funeral package prices. 

If your funeral home did not offer you a video or if you would like to have one currently, we would be happy to provide you with something to cherish and pass down to future generations. In some instances we can provide 24 hr local service and 48-72 hr nationwide service. Call or email us for further details and pricing.

How many photos should you use in you Video

You’ll want your tribute to be easily viewed during visitation.  We have learned that videos extending beyond 6 to 8 minutes are too long for many visitors to comfortably stand and watch.  We suggest creating a tribute that is 4-5 minutes long.  Videos of this length normally use 28 to 35 photos.  If you would like a longer video, we recommend allowing us to create an extended version on a special DVD for you and your loved ones.

Tips on collecting photos

When collecting your pictures, family photo albums and wedding albums are a great place to start but don’t forget the “not-so-obvious” places.  Yearbooks, framed photos placed in your home and (a great “hidden” resource) family members and close friends.  Ask them for their favorite photos.  They often have wonderful pictures that recall long-forgotten memories. A personal theme

We want to make your video a personal reflection of your memories.  Are there special interests, hobbies or avocations we should consider in creating this tribute?  Do you have scenic pictures of a favorite a “get-a-away” or vacation spot?  If so, bring us these pictures and we can use them to create a custom background for the tribute.

Your photo sequence tells a story

Most videos follow the chronology of life… from childhood through retirement.  If you have a special sequence you would like for your photos, let us know.  (You can lightly pencil the sequence order on the back of each photo.)  If there is a special caption you would like for a specific photo, write-it on the Photo Sequencing Form. If you cannot sequence the photos, don’t worry about the exact order.  You can rely upon our experience to create the video.  Also, if we have received the photos with enough production time, you’ll have an opportunity to preview the video and suggest changes.  Our goal is to create a video that you will cherish. 

Will you need extra copies of your VideoTribute?

Let us know if you think you would like extra DVD copies of the video.  We’ll prepare them now so that they’ll be immediately available for your family and friends.  The cost per DVD is <insert price>.

Don’t worry if you don’t know the number of copies that will be needed, we can produce additional copies upon request.

Playing your VideoTribute at home

You can view the video by inserting the disc into a standard DVD player.  Upon pressing the PLAY button, the video will automatically start.
